The fall performances of "Candide" by Columbia Musical Theatre Society, "American Ghosts" by NOMADS (New And Original Material Authored and Directed by Students), and "Gimme gimme mOrchesis" by Orchesis are all happening on campus this weekend on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.

Holi 2012!

Holi, which is also called the Festival of Colors, was celebrated in front of Pupin where hundreds of students celebrated by throwing colored powder at each other. The Hindu holiday, which marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring, has come to symbolize the superiority of good over evil.

Hindu Classical Night

Dominican American Art Exhibit

The Spanish and Latin American Cultures Department has put together an art exhibit featuring the works of 12 Dominican American artists. Their work touches on themes of race, gender, the 'American Dream' and U.S.-Dominican relations and is open until April 3rd from 12-4pm on all days except Sundays in the gallery at the Diana Center. Spectator photographer Ana Bautista was there for the opening night on March 22nd.

CSC Lunar Gala 2012

On March 3rd the Columbia’s Chinese Students Club’s 33rd annual Lunar Gala featured performances by student groups Raw Elementz, CU Generation, CU Lion Dance, and String Theory, as well as a performance by Jennifer Chung, a Californian YouTube singing sensation. The theme of the fashion show was “Colour Revolution”.
